The 2008 Mother of May Weekend has come and gone — with only pictures and memories remaining.

I think some of the photos of Grandma, Yeni, Mom, and my sister are the best. I love the one of my sister at the computer and of some of the ones of Yeni really came out nice in black and white.
Day 3 of eating “right” and I think the fiber is starting to get to me… but that’s a story for another day.

Thursday will be mom’s [censored]th birthday and I’m riding the bike down to South Florida to celebrate mom’s birthday, grandma’s birthday, and Mother’s day in what I would like to call The Mother of May Weekends.
So besides a great weekend to catch up with my mother, father, grandmother, sister, and girlfriend (she’ll be flying in to try Joe’s for the first time), I’m looking to The Mother of May Weekends as a Sayonara to fat…
Why Sayonara to fat? Well, I had been really good about dropping some of that weight I had gained but over the last 2 months managed to pack on about 10 extra pounds. So, to quote my favorite song writer… Come Monday it will be Allright… Allright for the gym that is.
Let the workouts begin.

Another weekend with Yeni in Florida. Was great to have a visitor at the house but unfortunately the weather was less than cooperative.
After a great visit to the University of Florida and Big Lou’s Pizza, we had a quiet evening in the house on Saturday and prepared for what we thought would be an awesome all-day bike ride to St. Augustine.
Well, mother nature decided that the flowers needed some more water and the rain started before sunrise and never stopped.
We headed to the beach anyway to have Conch Fritters with friends and see the ocean.
The bike ride will have to wait until May
