FTC Disclosure

Hi. I’m Fred.

You may know me as Fred Posner, aka the reason this site is FredPosner.com.

You may also know me as family, a friend, an associate, that asshole that cut you off the other day, or just some random human living on the planet earth.

This is my blog. I write this blog for one main reason — me.

I write about what I know, some stuff I don’t know, stuff I like, stuff I don’t like, and stuff that I have no idea why I’m writing about it. I rant. I rave. I digress. I regress. I praise. I condemn. I do all of this without any intent of purpose other than to exercise my freedom of speech.

If someone gave me something and I write about it, I’ll most likely thank them. That’s the way I was raised.

If I didn’t remember, please let me know, tell my mom, or exercise your rights as you wish. If I get something for free and I write about it, I guarantee it will not influence my opinion.

I’ll write my true opinion.

If someone pays me to write a review, and I can never imagine that happening on this site, I guarantee it will not influence my opinion. I’ll write my true opinion.

I’m opinionated. I’m proud of it.

I have expertise in areas I write about. I have been called an expert in areas I don’t write about. I also write about things that I have no expertise or knowledge. I think some experts are idiots. I at times can be idiotic as well. Come to think about it, I bet you’ve been an idiot once or twice yourself. It happens.

This is my blog. If you want to contact me, click that big link. It will tell you how to… wait for it… contact me.

PS. I think that the FTC making rules about bloggers is about as stupid as people taking the advice of some random idiot who blogs.

If you don’t trust the blogger enough to believe that they will write an unbiased opinion and/or disclose any conflicts then you shouldn’t trust their opinion.

No one should need the FTC for that, and if you do, you shouldn’t be allowed to buy anything without a court order. The FTC shouldn’t worry about blogs until… on second thought… the FTC and the government should never worry about blogs.
