I won’t be attending Astricon this year.

Once again, Astricon has co-located with ITEXPO in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, similar to the old Asterisk World events (that Sangoma ended soon after acquiring Digium).

Astricon, in past years, attracted an audience of more than 1000 attendees, a decent sized expo (focused on open source telephony), and multiple presentation tracks held over several days.

This year, similar to last year’s Astricon, the conference will be a single track and (new for 2024) only one day long.

I’ve expressed my feelings on the “evolution” of Astricon before and don’t want to beat a dead horse. If you are attending the event, Alex Balashov will be presenting on Kamailio. Alex is a Kamailio expert and a good presenter as well.

Hopefully I will see many of you at either Kamailio World, ClueCon, or both.
