Storm’s over. That was one of (if not) the worst storms I’ve seen in Gainesville since the 1993 Storm of the Century. That storm was nuts… way worse than what I’ve seen around town today (back then there were roofs ripped off, homes destroyed, etc).

We’ve seen a lot of trees down (which was my big fear), traffic lights out, power outages, etc. Was a very windy night.

As an aside to my fellow Floridians…

When you see a traffic light out, it becomes a 4-way stop. Now, Floridians… a 4-way stop is when you fucking stop. The crashes we saw today were completely preventable if people had just taken their head out of their ass and fucking stopped at non-working traffic light.

Doubt that it’s a 4-way stop? See Florida State Statute 316.1235 which references FSS 316.123(2).

Anyway… we made it through and now just have first world problems with power and internet outages.
