Kamailio World 2025: Thoughts

tl;dr: Another new venue, more amazing people, very well run, good food, great content. Looking forward to 2026.
Each year I look forward to Kamailio World, and 2025 was no exception. Yeni and AnneMarie joined me and went well enough that all three of us hope to return next year.

Another New Venue
Kamailio World took place at Novotel Berlin Mittle – much closer to Alexanderplatz.
Many of us also stayed at the Novatel, allowing impromptu (and easy) socializing in the lobby.
I loved the last location having a train station literally a 2 min walk away, but one cannot deny having so many restaurants and things to do in a close walking distance. Berlin is a great city.
People/Community
The Kamailio community covers a wide variety of businesses, use cases, and people. This said, Kamailians tend to be pretty friendly and eager to help. It’s great to see old friends and make new ones, and Kamailio World 2025 provided a great opportunity for both.
A great return of well known faces as well as some new friends made.

Socializing
Was great to have so many participants embracing matrix… making it easy to coordinate group activities and keep in touch. Did you know we have both a kamailio room and space for matrix?
Future
Looking forward to the next Kamailio World. Daniel/Ramona did a great job (as usual) for 2025 and the feedback (and food) was very positive. I’m grateful to be part of this community!
