Wheel of Fortune!

Back from a great weekend visiting family in Eugene, OR for my cousin’s high school graduation. I believe that the reason running is so big in Eugene, OR is that running is actually faster than driving in Oregon. I have never driven on roads with drivers so happy to drive so slowly. It was truly amazing. On the way back to Gainesville, I stopped of at the Vegas airport where I’m up $40....

Eugene, Day 2

My sister and her boyfriend landed today and within 5 minutes Mom was already talking about their wedding. 🙂 We attended a Saturday Market in Eugene where I believe the population of freaks to non-freaks was maybe 12 to 1. Very freaky. Very, very freaky. My dad and I witnessed this guy having a really bad trip and decided to maybe try a different area. Before we knew it, we were in the Sasquatch Festival....

Heading out to Eugene, OR

So I’m flying the trip from Hell this weekend to visit my cousins in Eugene, OR. Will be great to see them, and to get there I will fly from Gainesville to Charlotte… Charlotte to Phoenix… Phoenix to Eugene… then Eugene to Las Vegas… Las Vegas to Charlotte… and Charlotte to Gainesville. I’m on leg one and when I landed in Charlotte, the power went out. So, after about 10 minutes all the computers came back on and 60 minutes later the air has yet to return....

Mother's Day Pictures

The 2008 Mother of May Weekend has come and gone — with only pictures and memories remaining. I’ve posted the pictures on my picasa page, located here: http://picasaweb.google.com/fatfreddysays/MotherSDay2008 I think some of the photos of Grandma, Yeni, Mom, and my sister are the best. I love the one of my sister at the computer and of some of the ones of Yeni really came out nice in black and white....

5 days / 750 miles later

Wow gas has gotten really expensive. Thank god for Harley-Davidson. I just came back from my weekend in South Florida and my wallet is still freaking out about gas prices. On the way down, gas was around $4.05/gallon. On the way up, it was up to 4.20 in Orlando for gas. On the Harley, I get about 40 miles per gallon on average… so let’s think how much better life is with me riding the bike....

Headed down to SoFla

Thursday will be mom’s [censored]th birthday and I’m riding the bike down to South Florida to celebrate mom’s birthday, grandma’s birthday, and Mother’s day in what I would like to call The Mother of May Weekends. So besides a great weekend to catch up with my mother, father, grandmother, sister, and girlfriend (she’ll be flying in to try Joe’s for the first time), I’m looking to The Mother of May Weekends as a Sayonara to fat…...

Thou shalt not ride on Sundays

So I tried another Sunday ride this week… had a great run to Orlando’s house and then was hoping to get to Sonny’s for AYCE Beef Brisket (yum). Well, long story short, as we pulled into the parking lot, the phone started ringing and it was time to go to work. Saturday was the annual Orlina Cinco de Mayo party and this year will have to be one of the best....
